#DecemberJoyathon2015: Tiffany Reisz's Favorite Things

Day 4 of the Joyathon one of our favorite authors is celebrating with us. We first "met" Tiffany during an episode of Romance Lately (a short-lived LIVE internet show we did waaaaay back in the day) and we've been in love with her Sinners since then. Today, she's sharing some of her favorite things about the holidays.

Tiffany Reisz is the author of the highly acclaimed series The Original Sinners. Her first novel, The Siren, won the RT Book Reviews Editor's Choice Award for Best Erotic Romance of 2012. Slightly shameless, Tiffany dropped out of a conservative Southern seminary in order to pursue a career as a writer. This move, while possibly putting her eternal salvation in peril, has worked out better than she anticipated. She lives in Oregon with her husband, author Andrew Shaffer.

My husband (author Andrew Shaffer) and I just moved into a new house on Mt. Hood in Oregon. It’s like living in a holiday song as we are literally “over the river and through the woods.” Very much looking forward to decorating our new house for Christmas. I love the way lights and greenery can completely transform the look of a room. Now that we live on a mountain, we’re also looking forward to taking a sleigh ride in the community at the top of the mountain. Unlike Portland, Oregon where we had been living, this area actually gets snow in winter consistently. So sleigh rides actually happen around here. Looking forward to being snowed in and wrapping gifts while all my favorite Christmas movies are on—How the Grinch Stole Christmas, A Charlie Brown Christmas, and Borrowed Hearts starring Roma Downey and Eric McCormack. And I love decorating the tree. I buy a Christmas ornament on every trip Andrew and I take so whenever we decorate the tree, it’s like walking down memory lane—the penguin riding on the back of a whale from Cannon Beach, the Empire State Building from our last trip to NYC for a conference, a fragile painted sand dollar from a cranberry festival we attended in rural Washington state.
But the best part of Christmas is seeing my family back in Kentucky.

The Queen (The Original Sinners: White Years, #4)

Once upon a time, Nora and Søren made a fateful deal—if he gave her everything, she would give him forever.

The time has finally come to keep their promises.

Out of money and out of options after her yearlong exile, Eleanor Schreiber agrees to join forces with Kingsley Edge, the king of kink. After her first taste of power as a Dominant, Eleanor buries her old submissive self and transforms into Mistress Nora, the Red Queen. With the help of a mysterious young man with a job even more illicit than her own, Nora squares off against a cunning rival in her quest to become the most respected, the most feared Dominatrix in the Underground.

While new lovers and the sweet taste of freedom intoxicate Nora, she is tempted time and time again by Søren, her only love and the one man who refuses to bow to her. But when Søren accepts a new church assignment in a dangerous country, she must make an agonizing choice—will the queen keep her throne and let her lover go, or trade in her crown for Søren's collar?

With a shattering final confession, the last link in the chain is forged in The Original Sinners saga. It's the closing chapter in a story of salvation, sacrifice and the multitude of scars we collect in the name of ecstasy—and love.
