ONE KISS CAN LAST FOREVER

Becca Thorpe has uprooted her life and escaped to the beach. Now's her chance to get away from city living, throw caution to the ocean winds, and live in the moment. Especially if the moment includes the deliciously sexy surfer she meets shortly after arriving in Lucky Harbor. Something about the dark intensity of Sam's eyes and the thrill she gets at his touch convinces her to stay awhile.

Boatbuilder and investment genius Sam Brody is a self-made man who knows how dangerous it can be to mix business and pleasure. But he can't resist offering Becca a job just to hear her laugh and have her near. Yet when her brother comes to town asking for help, will he tempt her back to her glamorous life in the city? Or do Sam and little Lucky Harbor have a chance to win Becca's heart?

REVIEW:

Lucky Harbor is one of my favorite places to visit. It’s in His Kiss is book number 10 in the Lucky Harbor series. The thing about the Lucky Harbor series is that they come in threes. So this group is about a trio of best friends who own a boating charter and gear rental. And their women who are connected by living in the same warehouse apartment building with super thin walls.

Becca Thorpe wants a life of her own, not one that revolves around her brother and his music. Music used to be her life, but with debilitating stage fright has changed that for her. After landing in Lucky Harbor she’s determined to put down roots here. Her apartment isn’t much but it comes with a view of the ocean, and a certain sexy surfer.

Sam Brody is quiet and a bit broody. He lets very few inside but when Becca shows up he can’t stop thinking about her and wanting her. When she ends up working for him and his friends, he refuses to touch her. But there’s not denying the spark of chemistry they share. Sam isn’t big on trust but some how Becca gets inside his walls. I think its because she’s sassy and stubborn and wont let Sam push her away.

I loved Sam and Becca together. I think they complimented each other well. I also liked how they stood up for each other. Becca has Sam’s back and he had hers. Yes, they had some communication issues, but in the end they worked through them.

It's in His Kiss is fun and sexy. I feel like I say this about every Jill Shalvis book but it’s the truth. She is amazing at weaving a story that is equal parts emotional and sexy. It is almost impossible not to fall in love with her characters. Is this her best book? No, but it’s still really good and I think that says something about Jill Shalvis and her writing.

If this is your first foray into Lucky Harbor I would maybe recommend starting from the beginning, only because I don’t think this is the best Lucky Harbor book and I would hate for someone not to fall in love with this series. All books can be read as stand-alone but I do love a good series and I think I fall in love a little more with each story. Tanner’s book is the one I’m waiting one… an injured ex-Navy SEAL. I can’t wait.
