Jamie and Kati: Hi Bronwen! Welcome back to Romancing Rakes For The Love of Romance.
Bronwen Evans: Hi ladies and readers, I’m happy to be here today. It takes my mind off the wet, cold weather outside. It’s winter in New Zealand
J&K: Share something about you that would surprise readers.
BE: I’m Ambidextrous. I can write or use my mouse in either hand. My mother is left-handed, my dad is right-handed, and apparently I took ages to decide which hand to use. My mother pushed me towards the right by handing everything to my right hand side. My youngest sister is left-handed and my twin sister is right handed.
J&K: What is INVITATION TO PASSION about? [no copying blurb :)
BE: It’s about two people (best friends, Madeline and Richard) who think they know about love. Madeline thinks she’s in love with Richard, whereas Richard thinks he’s in love with Sarah. When they are forced to marry, their journey as man and wife shows them that they had no idea what real love was. Add in an enemy from the past that is out to destroy Maddy, and it’s a suspenseful and rocky road to their happy ever after.
J&K: Can you tell us a little bit about the Invitation To series for readers who may not have read them yet?
BE: The series is based around twins, Anthony and Richard Craven, whose late father was a slaver. Anthony, the Earl of Wickham’s story, Invitation to Ruin, was my debut novel, the first book I ever wrote. It was an RT Reviewers’ Choice Best First Historical Nominee and won the RomCon Readers Crown. I followed that up with Anthony’s best friend Rufus Knight, Viscount Strathmore’s book, Invitation to Scandal. However, that book ended on a cliffhanger. One of the villain’s from Rufus’s book escapes and he comes to haunt Richard and Madeline in book #3, Invitation to Passion. Everyone has been waiting for Richard’s story (no pressure on me!), Invitation to Passion.
J&K: You live in New Zealand. What’s one thing that someone ABSOLUTELY must do if they ever visit?
BE: Gosh that’s a difficult question. Are they visiting in winter or summer, remember, it’s the opposite season to North America, or if your younger or older.
- Summer and Young – Queenstown Jet-boating on the river with bungee jumping to follow. Action adventure
- Summer and Older – Walking the Queen Charlotte Walkway (4 day bush walk in the Marlborough sounds by the sea)
- Winter and Young - Christchurch Skiing at Mount Hutt
- Winter and Older – Hawkes Bay Vineyards Wining and Dining
BE: Who is your best friend (of the opposite sex)? How would you feel if you had to marry that person? Would it be a match made in heaven or a screaming disaster?
