Lover of things random and ridiculous, Jane Austen/Charlotte and Emily Bronte Fangirl, red velvet cake enthusiast, obsessive tea drinker, vegetarian, former cheerleader and world's worst video gamer. More often than not, these people turn out to be just as weird as she is.

Her Young Adult books include Nocturnal, Nightmare and Neither, the first three books in The Noctalis Chronicles. The fourth and final book, Neverend will be out in 2013. Whisper, the first in The Whisper Trilogy is also available, with the second book in the series, Silence and the final book, Listen coming out in 2014.

Chelsea: Well hello everyone! Today I have Jos Archer and Dusty Sharp here with me. Say hi.

Jos: *waves* How long is this going to take?
Dusty: Why, you have something more important to do? Hey, by the way.
Jos: *glares* Maybe. Nothing I’m going to share with you.
Dusty: It wouldn’t be working on your blog, would it, Red?
Jos: Stop calling me that. And I said it was none of your business.

Me: OKAY. Simmer down. Let’s get to the questions, shall we?

Jos: Sure, whatever.
Dusty: I’m sorry about her. It’s the red hair, you know.
Jos: Oh, bite me.
Dusty: See what I mean? Can’t control her temper.

Me: *clears throat* MOVING ON. So Jos, what was the first thing you thought when you saw Dusty?

Jos: *silence*
Dusty: Well? What did you think? Don’t be shy. I can take it.
Jos: I wondered how his damn pants stayed up. And I was wondering if he would go away and leave me alone.
Dusty: I couldn’t let a damsel continue to be in distress, could I? What kind of guy would I be?
Jos: I wasn’t in distress. I just couldn’t get the stupid candy out of the machine.
Dusty: And I helped you. I told you to put your hips into it. *wiggles eyebrows*
Jos: You see what I have to put up with? You’re impossible.
Dusty: Only in days that end in Y.

Me: So Dusty, what was the first thing you thought when you saw Jos?

Dusty: I thought a whole lot of things and I’m not sure I should say any of them. They might corrupt delicate minds.
Jos: *snorts* My delicate mind isn’t your concern. And I don’t remember you having a problem talking about that any other time.
Dusty: I have no idea what you’re talking about.
Jos: Can we wrap this up?
Dusty: Okay, okay. I thought that… That she was the most interesting girl I’d ever seen.
Jos: Interesting? What does that mean?
Dusty: It means that I couldn’t even think straight when I looked at you. I was too distracted by your eyes and your freckles and your hair and your expression. I wanted to know who you were, more than anything.
Jos: Oh.
Dusty: Yeah. Oh.

Me: Next question. Jos, what was your first impression of the house when you moved in?

Jos: *is staring at Dusty* Wait, what?

Me: What was your first impression of the house when you moved in?

Jos: Well, it was huge. Way bigger than any house I’ve ever lived in. And it was all decorated, you know? Honestly, it was intimidating.
Dusty: I felt the same way when I first walked in. You don’t expect people our age to be able to have something that nice. I’m still not used to it.
Jos: Yet you seem pretty comfortable there. You’re there all the damn time.
Dusty: Well, have you ever considered WHY I’m there all the time?
Jos: To annoy me? Because you’re obsessed with the coffeemaker?
Dusty: Shh, you’re not supposed to talk about my secret affair with the coffeemaker. I swore you to secrecy.
Jos: Can you be serious for five seconds?
Dusty: Maybe for four seconds.
Jos: I have other things to be doing with my time.

Me: Just one more question?

Jos: Okay fine. One.
Dusty: I’ve got time.

Me: Tell us something about yourself that nobody knows.

Jos: Do I have to?
Dusty: Oh come on, Red. It’ll be fun. I’ll go first. Okay, something no one knows… Oh, I got it. I love watching those renovation shows. You know where the come in and take a crappy kitchen, tear it apart and make it look amazing? I could watch those things all day.
Jos: Really? That’s it? That’s not that great of a secret.
Dusty: Well show me yours and I’ll show you mine.
Jos: Leave it to you to turn things sexual.
Dusty: Can’t help it. It’s a curse.
Jos: Mine is that… I kind of hate Christmas.
Dusty: How can you hate Christmas? What’s wrong with you?
Jos: I can’t explain it. I just do. I hate the stupid decorations and Santa has freaked me out since I was a kid. I mean, what’s good about some dude climbing into your house? And I never really got good presents anyway. It just seems like a lot of work for a stupid reason.
Dusty: Okay, wow. We definitely need to fix that, pronto. I’m going to make it my mission to make you love Christmas.
Jos: Well, good luck.
Dusty: I like a challenge. Do I have to share another secret? Because I don’t know how I can top hating Christmas.
Jos: Yes, you do. Spill.
Dusty: Fine. I’m petrified of water. Even pools. I’m always convinced somehow, some way, I’m going to drown. It’s not logical, but there you have it.
Jos: But don’t you know how to swim?
Dusty: To a certain extent.
Jos: You don’t know how to swim.
Dusty: I can swim. I just choose not to.
Jos: *stares at Dusty* You’re weird.
Dusty: *stares back at Jos* So are you.
