Love is just around the corner . . .
Sweet, shy Mara Hanover is in love with her neighbor. For four years, she has secretly watched her dream man from afar. Handsome police detective Mitch Lawson is way out of her league. She's a girl from the wrong side of the tracks, and there's no way a guy like Mitch would want anything to do with her. But when Mara has a leaky faucet that she can't fix, it's Mitch who comes to her rescue.
Mitch has been eyeing his beautiful neighbor for a long time. He jumps at the chance to help her, and soon their formerly platonic relationship gets very hot and heavy. But when Mara gets a disturbing phone call from her cousin's kids, she gets pulled back into the life she's tried so hard to leave behind. Can the hot law man convince Mara to let go of her past-and build a future with him?

Damn you, Mitch Lawson for sneaking into my heart. Law Man is part of Kristen Ashley’s Dream Man series and Mitch is definitely a dream man.
Mara has admired Mitch from afar. And when fate lands him in her bathroom fixing her faucet Mitch takes his chance to finally talk to her. However, Mara doesn’t believe that Mitch would ever want her because she has a system of rating people and while he’s a 10.5 she’s only a 2.5. Then, she finds herself taking care of her cousins children, Billy and Billie. So how could a man like Mitch want to deal with her and her baggage? What she didn’t know was that Mitch has been waiting for her and despite everything he knows she’s worth it.
But it wouldn’t be a Kristen Ashley book without some drama. Mara finds herself in some trouble because of her cousin and has the Russian mob after her. Step in Detective Mitch who vows to protect her and the children. Mara also finds herself pitted against the Trailer Trash Twins, also known as her mom and aunt. But Mitch refuses to let anyone hurt Mara and those kids.
Kristen Ashley always has those super alpha heroes but she also has strong heroines. While Mara is a bit insecure she knows when to turn on the fierceness. She stands up for what she wants and takes everything that is thrown at her.
And you have to love Mitch. There is no way around that. Yes, he is an alpha male but he’s not an asshole. Sure, he’s protective and always thinks he’s knows what’s best but he’ll listen to Mara. Plus, he’s damn sexy and also really sweet. He’s the perfect combination. He may just edge Tack out for my favorite Kristen Ashley hero… maybe.
