Last summer we got to witness the creation of Pamela Clare's book trailer for DEFIANT. We actually discovered Pamela's I-Team series a few summers ago thanks to Jenn LeBlanc and her telling us that we *HAD* to read BREAKING POINT. So we did and we've been in love ever since.
Surrender, 2006) and a three-time Daphne du Maurier finalist (I-Team series). She loves history, having studied archaeology in college, and has traveled extensively, living for almost three years in Denmark, which feels like home to her. She attributes her love of historical romance with the years she spent visiting ruins and castles in Europe.

Pamela's 12 Romance Heroes
(This includes notes for the photographer who is putting this calendar together. You know, just suggestions. Helpful hints, really.)
January — Christian Hawkins, aka Superman from Tara Janzen’s Crazy Hot
He’s sexy as hell, phenomenal in bed, and tougher than any other operative when the bullets start flying. And when he’s naked, this bad boy’s back, butt, and legs are covered with a giant hawk tattoo. (Definitely shoot his backside for this image.)
February — Jack Sheridan from Robyn Carr’s Virgin River
Jack’s quiet strength — and his alpha male protectiveness — are a major turn-on. This Marine can split my wood any day. (How about shot of him shirtless in low-slung jeans holding an ax?)
March — Julian Darcangelo from Hard Evidence
Julian is what scares the things that scare the rest of us at night. He moves through the underworld fighting to save women from predators. Rumor has it he’s very good with his tongue… (Focus on his six-pack and happy trail. Then again, those lips… )
April — Brodick Buchanan from Julie Garwood’s Ransom
Behind the pecs of this scowling, bad-tempered Highlander beats a very soft heart. Plus, he has a very big sword. Or so I’ve heard. (Pose him shirtless in a great kilt. With a big fan blowing. Hard.)
May — Roarke from Nora Roberts’ In Death series
The man is so cool he doesn’t even need a last name. His good looks, vast wealth, and underworld past make him sexy beyond words. But what makes him a hero is his poet’s heart. (Can this please be a full-frontal nude shot?)
June — Thor from the Thor and Avengers films
He’s the sexiest god I’ve ever seen. And you know what they say about the size of a man’s hammer… Makes a woman want to get pounded. *wink, wink* (Full frontal is good here, too, really.)
July — Iain, Morgan and Connor MacKinnon from my MacKinnon’s Rangers series
These three exiled Highlanders grew up among the Mahican and are renowned for their prowess in battle and in bed. They are the military heroes of their age, legends in their own time — and they have the scars to prove it. (Posing three brothers naked together might be a bit hinky, so let’s go with shirtless in buckskin breeches and leggings. Make sure to get their warrior marks in the image!)
August — John Thornton from the BBC miniseries North and South
There’s fire beneath that brooding exterior—and a strong sense of duty. The kiss at the end of this miniseries is in my top 10 movie kisses of all time. (Shoot him in his Victorian garb, but with his collar open and the top buttons on his shirt undone. It’s what the viewers won’t get to see that will get to them. These women really are lusty, aren’t they?)
September — Marc Hunter from Unlawful Contact
Convicted of murder, sentenced to life in prison. When he takes the woman he’s loved from high school hostage to escape prison, he’s only doing what he has to do. Also, he fucks like there’s no tomorrow, because for him there isn’t. (Definitely shirtless in worn jeans. Or maybe nude from behind with just a hint of manberries. Regardless, make sure to get those tats in the photo!)
October — Ichabod Crane from the television series Sleepy Hollow
Who hasn’t fall in love with this man out of time? With his expressive eyes, incredible mouth, and ability to face down the scariest monsters on TV with cool logic and high morals, he deserves the month of October. (Can we give him some other clothes to wear? I’m good with the 18th-century look, but he wore those threads for 250 years in his grave. Call a Revolutionary War re-enactors group or something.)
November — Javier Corbray from Striking Distance
A career Navy SEAL, he’s a decorated special operator. But the biggest op of his life is rescuing the woman he loves from Al Qaeda and bringing her back to life. He’s also known for being aggressive in bed — and an incredibly patient lover. (He’s ripped and, well, shaved bare there. Are three full-frontal shots too many?)
December — Aragorn, son of Arathorn, King of Gondor, Lord of the Rings
He’s a Ranger, patrolling the wilderness and protecting the innocent against orcs, trolls and ring wraiths. He takes freaking Sauron, okay? He’s the ultimate alpha male, putting his life on the line in the fight against evil. The fact that he was played by Viggo Mortensen in the film SO doesn’t hurt. (How about a dirty post-orc-battle shot with some black blood smearage and a nice bruise on his face? Am I weird for finding that sexy? Wait. Don’t answer that.)
Series: MacKinnon's Rangers #3.5
Length: 81 pages
Publisher: Pamela Clare (November 24, 2013)
Reunite with the MacKinnon brothers and their wives for Christmas—and a tale of love, new life, and redemption.
The war between Britain and the French is finally at an end, and the MacKinnons are looking forward to celebrating their first peacetime Christmas in five long years. While Iain and Annie have discovered that the pleasures of marriage grow deeper with time, Morgan and Amalie find themselves at bitter odds. Meanwhile, Connor and Sarah have a newborn son to cherish.
The family's preparations for the holidays are interrupted when Iain learns that Britain has not paid the Rangers for the summer's victorious campaigns. Unwilling to let men who fought under the MacKinnon name suffer deprivation at Christmastime, Iain, Morgan, and Connor leave the warmth of their frontier farm for Albany. There, they find their happy Christmas, and even their freedom, at risk at the hands of a ruthless British officer who holds a grudge against them.
With the men gone, Annie, Amalie, and Sarah do their best to prepare for the festivities despite differing traditions, a raging bull—and the gnawing fear that their husbands won't make it home for Yule.
Events begin the day after the epilogue of Defiant ends. The story includes Joseph, Killy—and revelations about the fate of Lord William Wentworth.
