Every time we have Kimberly Kincaid on the blog, we get the munchies. Why? Because she's always sharing something super yummy whether it's a recipe or a deliciously hot hero in uniform, or out of ;)
Kimberly's writing journey has led down some bumpy roads (that first manuscript is under the bed, where it is very likely to stay), but there has been some fresh pavement too (her second manuscript earned her very first contest final, and landed the fantastic Maureen Walters at the Curtis Brown Literary Agency). One thing is certain -- the wild ride of being a writer is a lot richer in both its ups and downs because of friends and readers along the path.
When Kimberly's not sitting cross-legged in an ancient desk chair known as "The Pleather Bomber", she can be found practicing obscene amounts of yoga, whipping up anything from enchiladas to eclairs in her kitchen, or curled up with her nose in a book. She resides in northern Virginia with her wildly patient husband and their three daughters.

Kimberly's 12 Romance Heroes
January: I’m starting my year off with a bang. Beck, from Louisa Edwards’s Hot Under Pressure is one of my favorite romance heroes of all time. Former military man turned red-hot chef. Need I say more? Also, in my head, I picture Dominic Purcell. Just yes!
February: I’ll go with one of my first romance hero loves for February. Zhadist from the BDB. Lover Awakened is my favorite book from JR Ward’s smash series. Dark and edgy and oh-so-damaged, seeing him get his HEA is totally fulfilling!
March: Joanna Bourne writes smart, sexy historical romances with heroes to match. Case in point—Adrian Hawker, from The Black Hawk. Don’t you think?
April: I’m going to cheat a teensy bit. One of my favorite male book characters is not technically the hero in his book. But Ivan, in Barbara O’Neal’s The Lost Recipe For Happiness, is one of the hands-down best book characters I have ever, ever read. You’ll want to devour the book in one sitting!
May: No hot-hero list is complete without one of Robin Covington’s Boys. Start with Jackson in A Night of Southern Comfort, and you won’t want to stop until you’ve read the whole series! Especially since Jackson looks like this:
June: Julie James writes some of the best fresh contemporary romance out there. While her heroes are usually lawyers, my favorite is hot cop Nick McCall in A Lot Like Love. Did I mention that I love the tough-guy brooders?
July: Two words— Winston Lane. If you’re not reading Kristen Callihan’s Darkest London series, you are missing out BIG! Winston is the hero in Winterblaze, but the entire series is incredible.
August: Roxanne St. Claire is writing some fantastic contemporary romance with her Barefoot Bay series. Book two, Barefoot in the Rain, gives us delicious former baseball player Will Palmer. The story is fantastic, but with Will looking like this…yeah. It’s a page turner!
September: Jill Shalvis can always be counted on for a hot, hot hero. My favorite of hers is Sawyer Thompson in Head Over Heels. Something about a man in uniform!
October: Dark and edgy vampires for Halloween month? Don’t mind if I do! Kresley Cole has an entire series full of them (Immortals After Dark), and her demons are even hotter. Rydstrom from Kiss of a Demon King proves the point on every. single. page.
November: I am thankful for Darynda Jones and Reyes Farrow. The First Grave series is only getting better as it goes!
December: I’d love to snuggle up by the fire with any of Amanda Usen’s sexy, sexy chefs. Joe Rafferty in Scrumptious is delectable. Go on. Have a nibble!
