Max Arrington, the Duke of Pelham, vows to never again let a handsome face blind him to a man's true intentions. But ten months of celibacy and lonely nights drive him to a decadent brothel, where a beautiful young man arouses his illicit passions as never before.

Tristan Walsh has grown tired of being used for men's pleasure. But his latest client is different: commanding yet generous, Max makes him feel cared for as well as wanted. Yet Tristan knows he'll never have the choice to leave the brothel and submit only to Max.

So when Max invites him to be his guest at his country estate, Tristan eagerly agrees to his terms—days to do as he pleases while Max tends to the dukedom, and nights spent together in wicked play. But when the "business arrangement" begins to deepen into something more, Tristan must face the fact that he has no true place in Max's life—or in Max's guarded heart…

Wow! I loved this story. The very basic description is a pretty woman fantasy, but wait this is a historical and an extremely hot male/male romance with hints of BDSM including some bondage and an erotic spanking scene.

The Duke of Pelham, Max to a select few, has had his heart shattered by his former lover and finally resorts to visiting an upper scale brothel. Max isn’t looking for anything but sexual releases, until he meets Tristan.
“Love couldn’t be trusted. Love blinded him to a man’s true intentions. Love led to pain, He’d learned those lessons only too well.”
The Duke cannot stay away from Tristan. When he returns to the brothel and discovers him servicing another man, instincts take over. Unable to be without him, he offers a business proposal to Tristan.

Tristan wants out of the brothel and is drawn to the hidden caring nature of Max. Agreeing to the deal, he moves in with Max as a houseguest. After spending so many nights together, neither man can continue to deny their feelings are so much more than physical.

This is a must read for any reader looking for a great m/m romance. The historical aspect adds even more to the story!
“The Duke of Pelham had willingly bowed to an ex-prostitute’s will, and he hadn’t even required a kiss in return.”
