But she needs Hunter to notice her as more than just a friend. Even though she’s kissed exactly one guy, she has just the plan to go from novice to rock star in the bedroom—take a few pointers from someone who knows what he’s doing.

Her college roommates have the perfect teacher in mind. But bartender Reece is nothing like the player Pepper expects. Yes, he’s beyond gorgeous, but he’s also dangerous, deep—with a troubled past. Soon what started as lessons in attraction are turning both their worlds around, and showing just what can happen when you go past foreplay and get to what’s real…

REVIEW:

First I want to say how much I loved this book. The writing is superb and it pulled me in right from the start. I couldn’t put it down.

Pepper has everything planned out. Go to school, get her degree in psychology and marry Hunter Montgomery. The only problem is that Hunter has a girlfriend and sees Pepper as his little sister's best friend. But when Hunter breaks things off with his girlfriend Pepper sees this as her chance to get the life she wants. The only thing is that she has no experience when it comes to guys. So her friends convince her that she needs to get some experience with a guy who knows what he’s doing, the hot bartender at the bar they go to.

Funny thing is that when they go to find the hot bartender, Pepper has already met him. As Pepper attempts to awkwardly seduce him, it turns out that he wasn’t the “hot bartender” everyone was talking about. They were talking about his brother. But Reese likes Pepper and decides that if she needs lessons in foreplay then he’s her man.

As Pepper begins her lessons she needs to keep in mind that they are for getting Hunter, not for Reese. And her plan seems to be working because Hunter is finally seeing her as a woman. So all her plans are coming together. Right?

GAH! Reese! I love him so hard. He has the reputation of a bad boy but he’s such a good guy. He has issues with his family and doesn’t think he’s good enough for Pepper. He sees Pepper going to this fancy school and how she’s has her life planned and knows that the only way he can be with her is to let her use him to get another man. So he does. Watching that, my heart broke for Reese.

I kept waiting to get annoyed with Pepper but that never really happened. She had a rough life growing up so I understood her wanting to have everything planned. Hunter was part of her fantasy life. It wasn’t until she decided to open up her eyes that she started living her real life and finally noticed Reese.

Foreplay is definitely going on my must read list. It is the perfect combination of angst and drama, without going over the top, and romance. Reese is definitely my new favorite book boyfriend.
