Blog Tour: Interview with Rebecca Zanetti + #Giveaway

Rebecca Zanetti is currently on tour for her latest Brazen (Entangled Publishing Imprint) release, AGAINST THE WALL.

WELCOME TO THE BLOG REBECCA!!!

Meet Rebecca:
USA Today Bestselling Author Rebecca Zanetti has worked as an art curator, Senate aide, lawyer, college professor, and a hearing examiner - only to culminate it all in stories about Alpha males and the women who claim them. She writes dark paranormals, romantic suspense, and sexy contemporary romances.

Growing up amid the glorious backdrops and winter wonderlands of the Pacific Northwest has given Rebecca fantastic scenery and adventures to weave into her stories. She resides in the wild north with her husband, children, and extended family who inspire her every day--or at the very least give her plenty of characters to write about.

Jamie and Kati: Hi Rebecca! Welcome to Romancing Rakes For The Love of Romance.
Rebecca Zanetti: Thank you so much for having me here! I just loved these questions!

J&K: Share 5 fun facts about yourself.
RZ:
  1. I travelled Australia with a backpack and my karate instructor for a month when I was in my early twenties.
  2. I interned with President Reagan’s office in California after he was president
  3. I was born on a naval base and have a cool navy emblem on my birth certificate
  4. My sister is my best friend
  5. I need to live by water and surrounded by mountains to feel at peace
J&K: Share a little bit about AGAINST THE WALL
RZ: Against the Wall is about a city girl who finds herself yanked off her feet by a hot cowboy on a rushing stallion. She’s a golf-course designer in town to push for a development, and he’s the lawyer hired by the locals to stop the development.

The two have tension in the courtroom, in the forest, and in the bedroom.

J&K: What is it that makes your hero and heroine perfect for each other?
RZ: They’re both looking for happiness and a home…and they don’t know it until they meet each other.

J&K: If your book were optioned by Hollywood, who would you cast in the lead?
RZ: I love this question…but it’s a tough one! A cool couple who has great chemistry would be Emily Rose and Lucas Bryant from Haven.

J&K: If your book had a theme song, what would it be?
RZ: Hmmmm. Let me go check the playlist I used when I wrote that book…I think I’ll go with: You Look Good in My Shirt by Keith Urban.
J&K:Do you have any writing rituals? (blasting music, eating cookies, drinking wine...) RZ: Yes. I can’t write without wearing thick, comfy socks…even in the summer. I also usually have a cup of coffee or a glass of wine near…and always a glass of water. Then I have a playlist for every book, and it repeats, and repeats…until the book is finished. My family is usually very tired of those songs by the time a book is finished. J&K:What are you writing at the moment? Can you give us a sneak peek into your current WIP? RZ: I just finished copy edits on UNDER THE COVERS, which is book 2 in the Maverick Montana series. It’s about the sheriff who strikes a deal with the heroine, a local art dealer, for more than either of them bargained. Lightning Round: Alpha or Beta? Alpha, Alpha, Alpha… Wallflower or Belle of the Ball? I love a wallflower that turns into the Belle of the Ball, whether she wants to or not. Debutante or Spinster? Debutante Virgin widow or Secret baby? Virgin widow…they’re always so ready to rumble! Titled peer or Working man? Definitely a working man. Love at first sight or Second chances? Ohhh –that’s tough. Can I choose both? Naval officer or Swashbuckling pirate? Naval officer. There’s nothing like a man in uniform who’ll stand between you and danger. Vampires or Shifters? Vampires…but I do like my shifters! Western Historicals or Western Contemporaries? Western Contemporaries. Give me a cowboy with a cell phone, any day. Writing or Reading? Another really tough one! I like both…these days I’m writing more than reading. Paperbacks or e-books? Both! I prefer a paperback at the beach, though. Plotter or Pantser? Panster…I like to be surprised, too. Author’s choice. Vampire, naval officer, or swashbuckling pirate…and why? J&K: Thanks for visiting us Rebecca! RZ: You bet! Thanks so much for having me!

Never challenge a cowboy in the courtroom… Surveying the proposed site for a high-end golf course should have been a breeze for spunky Landscape Architect Sophie Smith. But when this born-and-bred city girl is suddenly—and quite literally—swept off her feet by a sexy cowboy on horseback, she realizes that the country life has some serious (and seriously steamy!) possibilities. That is, until she finds out exactly who her smokin’-hot wrangler really is. Cowboy and Tribal lawyer Jake Lodge is desperately trying to block the development. And if that means playing hardball—and being every inch the shark lawyer—so be it. But Sophie is a distraction he didn’t expect. A distraction that makes his blood burn. Two different worlds. Two opposing sides. And when they finally give into the exquisite temptation, the consequences will shake the foundations of both of their lives…
