J&K: Share 5 fun facts about yourself.
- I’m obsessed with nail polish. (And I blame Incoco for it.)
- I’d rather stay home on a Friday night and watch a new episode of Grimm than go out.
- I want to do a 5K this year, but a fun one. Like Color Run or Electric Run.
- My kids have more clothes in their closets than I do. (Gymboree addiction)
- I think most occasions call for champagne.
JBB: In Caribbean Christmas we met two intriguing characters – the gruff and angry Harm, and the funny and responsible Holly. Who better to knock Harm off kilter than a woman he can’t understand? So I matched them together in a very Beauty and the Beast way, complete with the library. Oh, that library…
J&K: What is it that makes your hero and heroine perfect for each other?
JBB: At their hearts, they are very similar. That recognition sparks a respect, though they may not agree.
J&K: For those unfamiliar with your work, which book would you recommend they start with?
JBB: I didn’t have a master plan for my career when I started out, so stories don’t have a designed flow to them. Some are more angsty (Pride & Passion, Par For the Course) and others are light and fun (Drive Me Crazy, Compromising Positions). As far as writing goes, I enjoy writing the flirty stories more.
J&K: If your book had a theme song, what would it be?
JBB: Beautiful Disaster. It was the theme song for Compromising Positions, but it fits this one too.
J&K: Do you have any writing rituals? (blasting music, eating cookies, drinking wine...)
JBB: I have writing pants. No joke – leopard, zebra & frog. I write better when I’m comfortable. And I tend to stick with one manicure style when drafting a book. Caribbean Casanova was Ruby Shoes (sparkly red).
J&K: What are you writing at the moment? Can you give us a sneak peek into your current WIP?
JBB: I just finished Caribbean Crush, the third interlude in the Under the Caribbean Sun series. It features the youngest Prinsen brother, Antonnis, and begins at Johannes & Saskia’s (Caribbean Christmas) wedding.
“What are you doing?” Kristin faced him, her body writhing with pure sexual energy. Especially in that dress. He slid his hands along her sides, unable to detect the slightest hint of underwear. He instantly went hard in his slacks.
“Isn’t it polite to dance at weddings?” With his hand on her hip, he pulled her closer, aligning their lower bodies.
“There’s nothing polite about what you’re doing.” She gave him a challenging grin, her warm brown eyes twinkling with mischief.

Under the Caribbean Sun, Book 2
Holly Hansen has sacrificed too much to let anything—especially a man—get in the way of making her clothing line a success. When she arrives on the island of Anguilla, she zeroes in on the biggest threat to her make-or-break photo shoot. At six-and-a-half foot of sculpted Dutch muscle, Harmannus Prinsen is every inch the womanizer of Caribbean legend, but he will not be seducing any of her models. She knows exactly how to make sure of it. Make the girls think he’s taken.
Harm is stunned when the curvaceous beauty greets him with a mind-numbing kiss. She’s the embodiment of every pin-up portrait he collected as a teen, with a sassy tongue and a body that begs for his touch. Sure, he’ll pretend to be her date…but only if they really date.
Despite her best efforts to remain immune to his charms, Holly finds herself falling for the man behind the myth. She begins to wonder which island she belongs on…Manhattan or Anguilla.
Other Books in Series:
Most of the lights were off, allowing the stars to reflect off the glass facade. But the upper corner glowed like a beacon. The sight drew her eye and her breath. Unaware of his audience stood Harm, enjoying a shower for the world to see.
Not that there would be many looking. With the rocky outcroppings along his shoreline, no boats would get close enough, and his villa was higher than the house beside his or the collection of bungalows he owned. Right now she was the only one enjoying the view.
“Come on, turn around.” Holly blinked at the sound of her own voice, unaware she’d spoken. She slipped her phone into her pocket, then looked up to find Harm had done as she wished.
“Oh my.” She pressed her hand to the base of her throat and stared.
