Just One More Kiss

There’s no place like home for the holidays. And the Lucky Harbor Bed & Breakfast is bursting with festive lights and good cheer. But for Mia, Christmas is turning out to be anything other than merry and bright. Her recent break-up with her boyfriend Nick has made her return bittersweet. But then a surprise arrives, when Nick follows her to town bearing gifts–and asking for forgiveness.

Nick grew up without a family of his own so he’s overwhelmed by the love that Mia receives from all her relatives, gathered together to celebrate the season. Under their watchful eyes, Nick finds earning back her trust the hardest thing he’s ever had to do. If he succeeds, he will receive the greatest gift of all, Mia’s love for a lifetime.

REVIEW:

It’s been five years since we’ve meet Mia Hutchinson, Tara and Fords biological daughter, and now she’s all grown up, living in New York and in love with Nick Carpenter. But Nick breaks her heart when she asks him to go to Lucky Harbor for her Aunt Chloe’s Christmas Eve wedding. Taking her broken heart, Mia leaves without looking back. Nick realizes that he made a mistake and flies across the country to win Mia back. Of course he wasn’t expecting to have to fight her ex or her family. But he loves her and will do anything to win her back.

All Mia has wanted was someone to choose her for once. She pushed her way into her biological parents life and maneuvered her way into Nick’s. When Nick rejects the offer to go meet her family she takes that as him not choosing her. When Nick shows up she’s happy but still wary. Nick has never had a serious relationship. He never had a family so everything is new to him. But he knows that he screwed up and he knows that he needs Mia. So Nick proves himself by throwing himself in with the family and showing him he means business.

Under The Mistletoe is a short novella that will break your heart and make you laugh. Jill Shalvis does an amazing job mixing humor in with romance. If you love the Lucky Harbor series then this is not to be missed. It was so nice to catch up with Maddie, Jax, Tara, Ford, Chloe and Sawyer. And of course to see Mia who has grown into woman.

I adored reading this. My only complaint is that I wanted so much more. I love these characters and it was nice to revisit with them.
