Merry Christmas, Mrs Robinson by Delilah Marvelle

Lady Jane left her father, the Earl of Chadwick, and the ton behind to experience life on the stage. After a disastrous marriage, the widow is living on the edge of poverty, determined to guard her heart, when a secret admirer from her past demands a second chance.

Shy and retiring Martin Nicholas Pierce, the Sixth Duke of Somerset, has carried a torch for Lady Jane since her youth, but he is five years her junior. When she married another man, he left for Europe, determined to put her out of his mind. After returning to find Lady Jane free, he vows to replace the memories of her cursed Twelfth Night with a new beginning.

The Twelve Days of Seduction by Máire Claremont

Alexander Hunt, Eighth Duke of Berresford, is aware his ward’s governess isn’t quite what she seems. Although Miss Flint is beautiful and intelligent, she misrepresented herself to gain employment, and he threatens to give her the sack mere days before Christmas.

Desperate to convince the sexy duke not to tear her from the little girl she’s grown to adore, Adriana challenges him to seduce her before the Twelve Days of Christmas have come to an end, although she fears it may cost her heart. Alexander accepts the challenge, unconcerned that he has as much to lose, if not more, than the delectable Miss Flint.

"Merry Christmas, Mrs. Robinson" by Delilah Marvelle ❤ ❤ ❤ ❤ ❤

Jane Robinson, formerly known as Lady Jane before she decided to become an opera singer, has just married the man she thought she fell in love with. She was cut off by her family for doing so. During Twelfth Night, only a couple of weeks after they married, she find out that her beloved Mr. X was not the man she married. After an argument that ends up in her new husband's unexplained death, Mr. X stops writing.

Eight years later, Martin Pierce, the sixth Duke of Somerset has found his estranged elderly aunt and wants to take care of her. Lo and behold! The woman he fell in love with years ago is living in the same building. This could be his chance to show her that he is no longer a timid boy but a man who will stop at nothing to finally be able to make her his own.

Jane can't believe she is attracted to Martin. They'd been friends and he would always be that boy she spent time with. But hel-lo! He's got the rock hard body of a grown man and is no longer that timid boy. Martin tries his best to make Jane see that they're meant to be together and what better time for miracles than Christmas?

Favorite Quote:
She paused from her patting, noting the arm beneath his great coat was rather well muscled. That was new.
Overall: Every time Delilah Marvelle releases a book, I am in awe and in love with her writing all over again. This novella is fast paced with a side of naughtiness that will have your cheeks blushing a holly berry red and it will make you believe in the magic second chances during the holiday season.

"The Twelve Days of Seduction" by Máire Claremont ❤ ❤ ❤ ❤ ❤

Adriana Flint is the governess of the Duke of Berresford's ward and she's about to be let go because of her unsavory past. She's formed a close bond with her ward and isn't going to go without a fight. The Duke doesn't trust her but knows that bond between governess and child is strong. He's not that heartless so he makes a proposition.

Adriana would become his mistress. She agrees only if he seduces her for twelve days. It's no hardship for him. How hard could it be? His heart would not be involved in this. But he is wrong. Something about Adriana calls to him. There's more to this woman than nights spend between the sheets or stolen moments behind closed doors.

After being subjected to the title of Queen of Christmas by Alex's guest, Adriana thinks twice about falling for Alex. She knows that Alex is trying to keep her by his side but the veiled cruelty of the guests makes her think twice about allowing herself to hope for a future with Alex. She refuses to let her past hang over Alex and his ward and decides that the seduction might have been a bad idea.

With the threat of Adriana leaving them forever, Alex must convince her that the twelve days of seduction could be something more.

Favorite Quote:
It was Christmas. And in his experience, Christmas was the time for strange gifts and magical happening. For such a thing to happen on such a day, he wouldn't throw this path away. no, it was unfolding for some veiled reason.
Overall: Where can I get a Duke to seduce me for twelve days? This novella is sexy and angsty with a touch of sweetness. It's always a make or break when bringing children in the story but Ms. Claremont made it work. If this heart wrenching, laugh inducting, sigh worthy holiday story is a glimpse of Ms. Claremont's full book coming out in February (The Dark Lady), we're all in for a treat.
