WELCOME BACK TO THE BLOG SHANA!!!
Now she writes full time. She’s happily married to an incredibly supportive man she calls Ultimate Sportsfan, and she has a daughter who is most definitely a romance heroine in the making.

Shana Galen: Thank you so much for asking me! I’ve been looking forward to it all year.
J&K: Who is Shana Galen during the holidays? (author, gift giver, last minute shopper, baker)
SG: I’m working on several projects, so I’m still an author, but I find time to be a gift-giver too. I usually buy all the gifts for family and friends, as well as teachers, babysitters, and so on. I’ve been buying gifts since August because I hate shopping last-minute.
J&K: What is your favorite holiday movie?
SG: It’s a Wonderful Life
SG: None of the above. We’ll probably be watching Rudolph the Red Nosed Reindeer, Frosty the Snowman, or a Mickey Mouse or Dora-themed Christmas movie.

J&K: What’s your favorite holiday memory?
SG: Probably waking my parents up super early in the morning and rushing downstairs in my pajamas to see all the Christmas presents. My poor parents!
J&K: Do you write more or less during the holidays?
SG: I really write about the same. I have goals I must meet, and I just get up earlier or stay up later to meet them.
J&K: Which 5 authors (dead or alive) would you invite for a holiday feast?
SG: I’d invite my friends because then we could all chat and our kids could play together. I’d invite Emily McKay, Robyn DeHart, Kieran Kramer, Sophie Jordan, and Elise Rome. It’s no accident that most of those ladies can cook!
J&K: What are you currently working on? Can you give us a sneak peak?
SG: I’m working on the third Jewels of the Ton book, titled Sapphires are an Earl’s Best Friend. I wish I had enough written to give you a sneak peek of the book, but all I really have is a blurb (not the official blurb). Still you’re the first besides my editor to see it!
A courtesan with a secret…Lily Dawson, dubbed the Countess of Charm, has the gentlemen of the ton eating out of her hand—all but the one gentleman she wants. As one of notorious Three Diamonds, Lily has borne her share of scandal, but none so great as the scandal that led her to become a courtesan. As a young girl, she birthed a bastard son and gave him up for adoption. Her father, a former operative for the Crown, threw her out. She might have had no where to turn if she had not inherited her father’s special skills. But now she will have to use them against the one man who could destroy her.
A wounded lord…Andrew Booth-Payne, Earl of Darlington, was known as the “Darling of the Ton” for his good looks and affable personality. But he’s no one’s darling now. When Darlington’s mother died suddenly in a carriage accident, he rushed home to mourn her. Instead of a somber house and a grieving father, he found the old duke celebrating by satiating his lusts.
A traitor who will stop at nothing…Andrew follows his father to London, where the duke soon takes up with the Countess of Charm, vowing to marry the strumpet. Andrew wants to hate Lily for having the audacity to believe she could ever replace his mother, but something about Lily draws and intrigues him. And when he discovers there is more to her flirtation with his father than greed, he knows he must help her uncover a traitor, even if that traitor is his own father. Lily and Andrew embark on a dangerous quest, where not only their lives but the future of the nation is threatened.
Snowmen or snow angels? We don’t have snow in Houston :(
Real tree or fake tree? Fake, but I wish we had real.
Favorite holiday smell. Cinnamon!
Home for the holidays or visiting relatives? Both, which I hate. It is not fun dragging a toddler all over the state during the holidays.
Christmas Day or Christmas Eve? Christmas Day because we open my birthday present Christmas Eve (I was born December 25th)
What is the most annoying Christmas song? “I Saw Mommy Kissing Santa Claus,” especially if a kid is singing it.
