Larissa Ione's Lords of Deliverance series is edgy, steamy, dark, sexy and dangerous. It's one of those reads you need to take the rest of the day to finish. You can't stop at one chapter. We dare you to try. Today, Larissa is answering some questions about her series as well as what's next for readers.
WELCOME TO THE BLOG LARISSA!!!

Jamie and Kati: Hi Larissa! Thanks so much for taking time to stop by the blog and early congrats on your release of ROGUE RIDER.
Larissa Ione: Thank you so much! I'm excited to be here and excited for the release of Reseph's book!
J&K: Who is Larissa Ione?
LI: Mother to a teenage son, wife of a Coast Guard officer, caretaker to a 100-pound King Shepherd and a spoiled rotten cat. Lover of books, beer, animals, and coffee. Obsessed with Star Trek, severe weather, fantasy RPG's, and English history. Wears pajamas to work and thinks that's awesome. Also, terrified of balloons and those horrid cans of biscuits that pop open when you "press the seam."
J&K: In one sentence, tell us about ROGUE RIDER.
LI: Boy (Reseph/Pestilence, 1st Horseman of the Apocalypse,) meets girl (Jillian, human recovering from a demon attack,) and they deal with amnesia, snow, demons, steamy sex, fights, revelations, forgiveness, and more steamy sex before living happily ever after.
J&K: For those who aren’t familiar with the Lords of Deliverance series, can you share a little bit about it?
LI: The Lords of Deliverance series is a very tied-in spinoff of the Demonica series, and it's about the Four Horsemen of the Apocalypse. The Horsemen (one of whom is a female) are the offspring of an angel and a legendary demon, Lilith. They were cursed to be Horsemen, and they have lived their lives walking a fine line between good and evil as they struggle to keep their Seals from breaking...which would turn them into their Biblical identities, Pestilence, War, Famine, and Death.
J&K: How did you come up with the idea of basing a series on the four horsemen of the apocalypse?
LI: Well, I've always been fascinated by apocalyptic scenarios, and I'd always wanted to write about the Four Horsemen because it hadn't been done in the romance genre. Plus, I like to challenge myself, and what's a bigger challenge than taking four people of Biblical evil proportions and turning them into romantic leads? Then, as I was working on the fourth book in the Demonica series and introducing a demon named Sin, who can cause plagues...well, the way to get the Horsemen their own series popped into my head.
J&K: For those who are not familiar with your books, which one would you recommend they start with?
LI: Ooh, that's a tough one because both the Demonica series and Lords of Deliverance series are so intertwined. If readers don't want to get caught up on a whole bunch of books, then I recommend starting with Eternal Rider, the first book in the Lords of Deliverance series. But if they want to go back ALL the way to the very, very beginning, then I recommend starting with Pleasure Unbound, the first book in the Demonica series, which is set in an underworld hospital run by vampires, demons, and werewolves. These books ultimately kick off the books about the Four Horsemen.
J&K: What are you currently working on? Can you share a little bit about it?
LI: I'm working on the book I've been wanting to write since the very, very beginning of Demonica - Reaver's book! I can't share a lot about it, but I can say that he's going to have to go through hell (literally) to get his happy ending, but it'll be worth it, and all readers' questions about his past will be answered! (AHH!! Definitely been waiting for his book)
J&K: Author’s choice.
LI: Well, since Rogue Rider is the last book in a series about the Apocalypse, I figure I'll ask what kind of apocalypses are your favorites. For example, I love zombie apocalypses. I mean, I'm not hoping we have one, but man, I love zombie apocalypse movies. Oh, and alien apocalypse movies. Of course, I like pretty much any apocalyptic scenario, from natural disasters to killer viruses to demonic invasions to Biblical lore (and Horsemen!). So what's your favorite?
J&K: Thanks so much Larissa!
LI: Thank you for having me!

Jillian Cardiff came to this remote mountain town to forget the demon attack that almost killed her. Instead, she rescues-and falls for-a gorgeous stranger who has no memory of anything other than his name. Handsome, charming, and protective, Reseph seems like the kind of man whom Jillian can trust. But with hints of a troubling history of his own, he's also the kind of man who can be very dangerous . . .
Reseph may not know why he mysteriously appeared in Jillian's life, but he knows he wants to stay. Yet when Jillian's neighbors are killed, and demon hunters arrive on the scene, Reseph fears that he's putting Jillian in danger. And once it's revealed that Reseph is also Pestilence, the Horseman responsible for ravaging the world, he and Jillian must face the greatest challenge of all: Can they forget the horrors of a chilling past to save the future they both desire?
