Introducing the Sinful Scoundrels...

The Earl of Bellingham is nothing is not a creature of habit: money, meals, and mistresses must be strictly managed if a man is to have a moment's peace. It's a system that works splendidly for him--until now. With his oldest and dearest friends succumbing, one by one, to wedded bliss, Bell is now restless and a trifle lonely. Enter the Sinful Scoundrels--Colin Brockhurst, Earl of Ravenshire, and Harry Norcliffe, Viscount Evermore--who drag him back into society and draw his rakish eye to the ton's new beautiful young widow. Bell isn't after a wife, but a challenge. And Laura Davenport should fit the bill quite nicely...

Andrew Carrington, the Earl of Bellingham has just dismissed his mistress and she's not too happy about it. Bell is happy to be rid of her since she was carrying on with another man. Good riddance!

Laura Davenport has come to town with her seventeen year old stepson thinking it will do him some good. How wrong she is. He's fallen in with a bad crowd of friends, drinking, stumbling about at night and talking back to his stepmother. What happened to the sweet boy who she helped raise?

One night Bell fishes Colin and Harry out of the Thames before they meet a tragic end. Thus begins a laugh out loud friendship of sorts. Harry asking to borrow money for a bit of a tup is my favorite scene. It made me giggle and I couldn't keep reading because my eyes were watering.

Bell is looking for a new mistress. Spotting the mysterious widow everyone is talking about, he sets his sights on her even though he's been warned by Lady Atherton that Laura is not for him. Well, that doesn't stop Bell from trying to make her acquaintance.

Favorite Quote:
He was the sort of man who made virtuous women forget their morals and lift their skirts.
Overall: I enjoyed this novella from Vicky Dreiling. It has her signature wit that will have your sides hurting from the laughing ab workout. I'm so glad she decided to give the mysterious Earl of Bellingham his own book because he immediately intrigued me the first time he appeared in How To Ravish A Rake. The little teaser for Bell's book, What A Wicked Earl Wants, has me eagerly waiting to see what happens between Bell and Laura. I would like to take the time to note that this is a prequel to the Sinful Scoundrels series. It is not the first few chapters of a book.
