A LITTLE HARMLESS FASCINATION by Melissa Schroder
Series: Harmless #7
Format: PDF
Genre: Erotic Contemporary
Length: 210 pages
Publisher: Melissa Schroeder Publishing  (April 29,2012)

Wanting her isn't smart, seducing her is inevitable, but falling in love with her could be downright deadly for both of them.
Security expert Conner Dillon isn't a man who often takes a vacation. So when he is ordered to take a month off, and his sister insists on a trip to Hawaii, he isn't very happy. But, after seeing his landlady Jillian Sawyer again, he might just find something—or someone—to occupy his time.

For years, Jillian has always had a crush on Conner. Now an erotic romance author with a thing for Doms, she finds herself beyond intrigued by the man. He is good to the core, but there is something else darker in him that calls to her.

After one night in bed, they both find themselves addicted. In Jillian, Conner has found the perfect sub…and in him she finds someone she can trust. Falling in love isn't what they expected, but walking away is impossible—especially when they realize someone wants Jillian dead.

WARNING this book contains the following: An uptight security expert who prefers schedules, a romance writer who does not, tattoos, a trip to the Aloha Swap Meet, two hunky neighbors who irritate our hero, and of course this would not be a Harmless book without a trip to Rough 'n Ready. Ice is recommended as any Harmless Addict will tell you, but the author takes no responsibility if a reader should become overheated. Read at your own risk.

REVIEW:

Conner Dillon is forced to take a vacation after some chest pains send him to the hospital. His sister orders him to Hawaii to relax and recoup with her best friend and old college roommate. Jillian Sawyer has known Conner for years since he showed up with his sister. He was the talk of the dorm and all the girls loved him. He’s still sexy as ever and she can’t stop thinking about him.

Conner is fascinated with Jillian. With her laid back attitude and her tattoos and piercings he can’t help but be drawn to her. He knows he should keep his hands off her but she brings out his Dominate and the urge to claim her as his submissive screams in his head. He only has a month and Jillian doesn’t do relationships so maybe a hot, erotic vacation fling is just what the doctor ordered.

Just as Conner starts to enjoy his forced vacation, things start going wrong and Jillian is in danger. Now, Conner can’t help the protectiveness that takes over and his whole focus is on keeping her safe. And to keep from falling in love.

Conner and Jillian are opposites. Conner thinks everything through. The word relax isn’t part of his vocabulary. He’s always on the go and is a bit of a control freak. Jillian, on the other hand, is more carefree and relaxed. She moves to her own beat with her tattoos and piercings. And the best part is that even though they are opposites, they are perfect for each other.

Favorite Quote:
“I’m riding a very fine line of control, Jillian.” He bit out every word, trying to keep his irritation under control. He wasn’t used to this problem. There had been women he had wanted before, but not with this force. That alone was unsettling and irritating. But the feelings of jealousy that had him melting down earlier were not common or welcomed.

She rose to her tiptoes and said, her breath feathering against his ear, “I promise I’m not trying to push it, but I have to admit, seeing you lose control might be fun.”
Overall:
I love reading Melissa Schroeder’s A Little Harmless books because it’s like a reunion of friends. You get to check up on past characters while moving forward with new favorites. A Little Harmless Fascination is not to be missed.
