We're such fan girls when it comes to Vicky Dreiling's heroes. They're charming, witty, dashing and a little rough on the edges but hey, that's the way we like 'em. If you haven't already heard, Vicky is a triple RITA® nominee for How To Marry A Duke (best first book & Regency historical) and How To Seduce A Scoundrel (Regency historical). That's going to be a tough one since she's going against herself in the Regency historical category as well as other fabulous authors. Today, she's sharing the final book of the reader dubbed 'How To' trilogy: How To Ravish A Rake. So in the spirit of Vicky's recent release, grab a drink, ravish a cake or a rake and find out why Jamie loves Will.

Vicky Dreiling: Ha-ha! All of the above! Readers, I accidentally started a group on Twitter last spring called #mancandymonday. Here’s what happened. I was looking for photos to send to my editor of my hero William Darcett. So, I asked friends on Twitter to help me. In the process, I showed them a picture of Henry Cavill, the role model for Tristan in HOW TO MARRY A DUKE. That led everyone to share pics of really hot guys on Twitter. This went on night after night, and I realized I would never finish writing HOW TO RAVISH A RAKE if I didn’t do something. So I suggested we start a blog and have an official Twitter #mancandymonday on Monday nights at 8 CT/9ET/7 MT/6 PT. We have a theme every week and share pics of – you guessed it – hot guys. If you’re reading this and would like to join us, just use the #mancandymonday hashtag. Everyone is welcome. Plus check out the official man candy Monday blog
By the way, I never found a photo of an actor who really resembled William, but when I saw the cover of HOW TO RAVISH A RAKE, I was totally amazed because the couple looks exactly the way I pictured Will and Amy. I love the cover!
J&K: Tell us a little bit about Will and Amy's love story
VD: When I set out to write Amy’s story, I knew that I needed to partner her with a special guy. She’s been a wallflower for years, and no one ever even asks her to dance. But Amy is determined to shed her wallflower reputation and become the fashion darling of the ton. Naturally, I paired my sweet wallflower with the worst rake in London—Will, ‘the devil’ Darcett. He’s a bad boy, but he draws the attention of every single lady in the ton because he’s, well, hot! Amy, however, does not admire him at all and is determined to avoid him at all costs. But unforeseen circumstances lead this couple into the parson’s mousetrap.
I was fascinated with the consequences of a marriage of convenience between two people who knew so little about one another. How would they manage to build a relationship and the necessary trust to make their marriage work? The answer I came up with turned out to be a lot of fun. By the way, I have several photos on Pinterest for my HOW TO RAVISH A RAKE Collection. Here’s the link: http://pinterest.com/vickydreiling/. J&K: We found Aunt Hester totally hysterical. Will you be writing her story and is there someone in your life that inspired this character?
VD: Aunt Hester is a figment of my imagination and resembles no one that I’ve ever met. I just loved the idea of an elderly grand dame who figured she’d earned the right to tell the truth about life and her relatives. Frankly, I miss all of my couples now that I’ve finished the first trilogy, but I also miss Aunt Hester and her outrageous comments. I’d love to write a short story about Hester’s life when she was a young woman, but I don’t know when I would be able to fit that into my schedule. I’m currently writing a short story for Forever’s new digital line and am contracted for three more full-length novels. I’m very excited about the new trilogy I’m working on. If you would like a peek at my secret hero, check out my Pinterest board: Secret Regency Book.
VD: Thank you, Kati and Jamie of Romancing Rakes For the Love of Romance. You guys are fabulous!
J&K: OMG! She called us fabulous. *fangirl squee*

When Will is caught in a tryst with the ton’s shyest miss, he knows he must offer for her hand. Yet Amy is not the shrinking violet she seems to be.
