Romancing Rakes has me all hot and bothered...

But not like Robert Pattinson "Bothered." I've been reading books like crazy. I spent 4 hours reading The Countess by Lynsay Sands and loved it. After that, I've spent time with the Lords of Vice (Sin,Reign and Dare) and there will be more to come from Alexandra Hawkins regarding the other 4 Lords of Vice. I've been switching from author to author. Reading a chapter here, 2 there. I wish I were as witty as some other bloggers when it came to sharing my thoughts about these books. I downloaded the remaining 3 books of the Legend of the Four Soldiers books by Elizabeth Hoyt (I somehow already had To Seduce a Sinner, which is the 2nd book, on my Kindle). I also downloaded the later Delilah Marvelle book in her new Scandals series. Apparently this one gets into the nitty gritty of the ugly and not so sexy side of sex. Maybe. The Perfect Mistress by Victoria Alexander is waiting to be read. Now that I think about it, I'm pretty sure Victoria Alexander was the first author  I picked off that fateful shelf in the library. I finished reading 2 of The Elusive Lords series by Beverley Kendall. There's 1 more coming out later this year. I discovered Kieran Kramer's Impossible Bachelor's series and Sarah McLean's 9 Rules, 10 Ways and looking forward to 11 Scandals. I also picked up the last book to the Huxtable series by Mary Balogh. Why is that authors always save the best character for last? You know, the one that appears in each book, always saying something witty or being heroic and then slinks off into the night or the horizon or whereever. (I'm looking at you Ms.Hawkins)
I've decided to re-read a few of these books and finally put my thoughts into this blog. Maybe. Eventually.
P.S. I never thought The Bachelor would go all Regency or some such but Vicky Dreiling's How to Marry A Duke had me wondering if The Jersey Shore could be made into a Regency. Or perhaps, Housewives, yes..all 136823467 versions.
