What a crazy year!!

I don't do many end of year posts, I haven't done one in a couple years I think. But I wanted to do one here. The highlights.

This isn't a best of, but certainly highlights of the last year and my little project that has exceeded my wildest dreams.

1. Tessa Dare and the Avon cover. There are no words, really.
Kindle | Nook | iBooks | Kobo | Sony
3. Delilah Marvelle Forever a Lord Video production + School of Gallantry cover shoot. Simply the craziest weekend ever. What a fun week.

Adjusting the non-historically accurate undies :)

4. Studio Smexy on location, New Orleans, California, The Gulf of Mexico. Every bit of it fun. Every minute worth the time.

  14. I actually think my highlight from this year was finding Studio Smexy. I have enjoyed all of the posts. Especially getting to see all of the models at work. A favorite? That's tough. I think it would have to be the illustrations from The Rake and The Recluse. I just love that model! jepebATverizonDOTnet

  20. Week-ends just wouldn't be the same without a little Smexy! The two covers that I liked the best that you featured today were The Scandolous Dissolute, No-Good Mr. Wright and The Trouble with Highalanders but the thing I love best about Smexy posts are the times you show the set up of the shoots and the covers from the original pictures!

I'm always amazed at how wonderful all the pictures are and one reason is that the only picture I've ever taken that has turned out exactly how I wanted it to was taken in Tucson, Arizona when I was in college of a good fighter falling off a building after a "shoot out" with the "sheriff"! I had it blown up in black and white and it ended up looking like a photo taken with a camera of the time period of the Old West. I'm always amazed at the technology that is required to produce the different covers and convey the "feel" of the books.

Congratulations on a banner year of turning the books we read into a virtual reality!

  23. Hi, Jenn and Kati! I don't think I have a favorite Studio Smexy. I have loved them all. I love to see the difference between when they photo shoot in black and white, and then put it on the cover of a book.
