What a crazy year!!
I don't do many end of year posts, I haven't done one in a couple years I think. But I wanted to do one here. The highlights.
This isn't a best of, but certainly highlights of the last year and my little project that has exceeded my wildest dreams.
1. Tessa Dare and the Avon cover. There are no words, really.

Highlights. In no particular order. They're pretty bright, and pretty amazing. I'm looking forward to what this year brings. I hope you'll stick around for the journey.

ReplyDeleteMy highlight was getting to hang out with you guys at RomCon again in June! It was my second time, and I loved it even more after following the blog the whole year.

Wow, what a great year you've had! That's awesome! I really love the Tessa Dare novella cover, both the pose of the models and the striking colors.
ReplyDeleteYou know I'm a fan of Studio Smexy. I actually love when post stuff on twitter. It gives me a smile. I hope that this year is as great as last year.
ReplyDeleteHi! I love when the cover are made for an Highlander or Scot character! I don't know if you did it or not because I don't remember have see it on your website but I recently read books from Victoria Roberts and I liked these kind of cover. They look like the one for Mary Wine!
ReplyDeleteI love watching the change from a great photo to a historical cover! Keep up the great work.. Love it!

I think my favorites are all from Studio Smexy on location! Mr. Tall Dr. and Handsome on the beach in swim trunks... Sigh. Yes that would be my favorite picture too!
ReplyDeleteI love seeing the picture in white and seeing how amazing the color changes it and makes a great cover
ReplyDeleteNo Karl? He was definitely part of MY 2012 highlights. ;)
ReplyDeleteIt's been great to see your popularity and success continue to rise. You're doing amazing, Jenn!

I actually think my highlight from this year was finding Studio Smexy. I have enjoyed all of the posts. Especially getting to see all of the models at work. A favorite? That's tough. I think it would have to be the illustrations from The Rake and The Recluse. I just love that model! jepebATverizonDOTnet
ReplyDeleteThank you Jen!! Aw, that means a lot to me :)
ReplyDeleteThank you everyone!! Here's to another year of the Smexy!!!

Anytime I can see a half-naked hawt guy it is a great time for me :) I did really love how Delilah Marvelle got her hubby to play the hero in the book trailer.

Week-ends just wouldn't be the same without a little Smexy! The two covers that I liked the best that you featured today were The Scandolous Dissolute, No-Good Mr. Wright and The Trouble with Highalanders but the thing I love best about Smexy posts are the times you show the set up of the shoots and the covers from the original pictures!
ReplyDeleteI'm always amazed at how wonderful all the pictures are and one reason is that the only picture I've ever taken that has turned out exactly how I wanted it to was taken in Tucson, Arizona when I was in college of a good fighter falling off a building after a "shoot out" with the "sheriff"! I had it blown up in black and white and it ended up looking like a photo taken with a camera of the time period of the Old West. I'm always amazed at the technology that is required to produce the different covers and convey the "feel" of the books.
Congratulations on a banner year of turning the books we read into a virtual reality!
Oops! That was suppose to be "gunman" not good fighter!
ReplyDeleteI LOVE LOOKING AT THE BEFORE AND AFTER SHOTS. TESSA DARE'S ESPEIALLY.
ReplyDeleteHi, Jenn and Kati! I don't think I have a favorite Studio Smexy. I have loved them all. I love to see the difference between when they photo shoot in black and white, and then put it on the cover of a book.
