Studio Smexy™ Saturdays: Author Nikki Prince + Giveaway (US)

Usually we have models, designers or behind the scenes stuff here at Studio Smexy™ Saturdays but today we've got Nikki Prince, authoress, who has a lovely cover designed by Sour Cherry Designs who we featured last week.

WELCOME TO STUDIO SMEXY™ SATURDAYS NIKKI!!!

Meet Nikki:
Nikki Prince is a mother of two, who's always had a dream to be a published author in the romance genre. Her passion lies in raising her children as readers, gaming, cooking, reading and her writing. Her mother can now breathe easy about the child who used to get in trouble because she was hiding books everywhere and reading when it wasn't appropriate. She loves to write Interracial romances in all genres, but wants to let everyone know to not box her in, because there is always room for growth.

J&K: What book(s) feature a Studio Smexy shot cover?
NP:
Demon Mine my new release as of 9-12-12 with Evernight Publishing

J&K: How well does the cover illustrate your vision of the hero/heroine? Of the story?
NP:
This story is one of lust, love, anger, passion, regret, reincarnation, darkness and redemption. WHen I look at the cover, it has all of that in it. From the pearls that the hero is holding, to his tattoo and the passion you can see they are feeling the art says it all. The cover embodies the look I envisioned for the characters. Most especially Karl he is Samael.

J&K: What elements do you like to see on a book cover? (hero, heroine, landscape...)
NP:
For me a cover should depict what is written inside.

J&K: What drew you to choosing a photo shot by Jenn?
NP:
Actually Sour Cherry Designs chose this shot and I was quite pleased with it. I didn't even need to ask for any changes. The cover fits Demon Mine perfectly. The shot Jenn took is definitely Samael and Liliana.

  14. Hi Nickki!

The last time your cover for Demon Mine was featured on Smexy Saturday I asked Jamie and Kati if they knew the inspiraton for the tattoo!

My older son loves tattoo but when he gets one it has to have a special significance to him. He not only is a Master stone and brick mason by trade but also belongs to the Masonic lodge and has the symbol of the masons tattooed on his back. Each of his tattoo signify something that happened in his life.

Is there anything in your book that tells about the significance of the tattoo?

    1. In the opening scene when the heroine is looking at him its part of his description. When I was writing that scene I almost had him with no tattoo but Samael kept arguing with me and saying he had a tattoo. (The character/hero). I find tattoo's can be sexy and I wanted them to be part of his dark sex appeal.

      Excellent question Jeanne thank you!
