Blog Tour: Interview with Kristin Miller + Giveaway (International)

Today we would like to welcome Kristin Miller to the blog during her LAST VAMP STANDING blog tour. Kristin will be answering about her latest release but before we get to that, let's get to know Kristin.

WELCOME TO THE BLOG KRISTIN!!!

Meet Kristin:
Kristin Miller has had a passion for language and literature her whole life. Born and raised in Small Town USA, she often made up stories about faraway places and edge-of-your-seat adventures.

After graduating from Humboldt State University with a degree in psychology, Kristin realized there is no scarier place than the warped human psyche. Wanting to combine her love of writing with her desire to paint twisted villains, Kristin wound up in the unlikeliest of places—the classroom. She taught high school and middle school English before giving in to the desire to create  her own world, where villains can be sympathetic and heroes can be devilishly good.

She is represented by Nalini Akolekar of Spencerhill Associates Ltd. and writes dark paranormal romances and toe curling romantic suspense.

Jamie and Kati: Who is Kristin Miller? (author, former teacher, international woman of mystery...)
Kristin Miller: I’m an avid suspense reader turned turned high school English teacher turned stay-at-home mom turned writer. How’s that for a career path?

J&K: Tell us a little bit about LAST VAMP STANDING [no copying and pasting blurb :)]
KM: The vampires of Crimson Bay are on the run. Savage, a vampire-therian hybrid, is wiping out havens right and left, leaving a gruesome trail of dead vamps behind him. Ariana is a vampire elder who is responsible for keeping her haven, Black Moon, off the grid. The safety of the vampires in the haven depends on her focus, tenacity, and sharp intuition. Enter Dante. He brings something to the haven that no other vampire can offer—unmatchable strength and powers unlike anything the vampire elders have ever seen. Together, they could join forces and protect the last vampires in Crimson Bay against Savage. If only they could keep their hands off each other long enough to focus on the task at hand…

J&K: What makes Dante and Ariana perfect for each other?
KM: They have chemistry neither of them has ever experienced before. No one has ever distracted Ariana from the duties of Black Moon, and Dante has never felt strums of passion without them being accompanied by hunger pains. (Did I mention Dante feeds off sex and violence?) Dante and Ariana bring out the best in each other. He’s never had the urge to protect someone else, to fight for a cause bigger than his own survival, until he meets Ariana, the girl who’ll give anything for the elders in her haven.

J&K: If LAST VAMP STANDING were optioned by Hollywood, what would the theme song be?
KM: Great question! I think it’d have to be Sail by Awolnation. I love the “maybe I’m a different breed, maybe I’m not listening” part. Yeah, I think that fits pretty well, given that my hero doesn’t really know what he is. He knows he’s not a vampire, yet he has fangs. He can walk in daylight and feeds off of the hormones released during bouts of sex and violence. He doesn’t really listen to rules of vamp society and is determined to create his own path through life…until he meets Ariana, of course.

J&K: What can readers expect from you next?
KM: I have two Isle of Feralon novellas coming out next year, about an enchanted isle of shifters. Dragons rule the air, werewolves rule the sea and merfolk rule the land. Add a whole lot of romance, erotic scenes and adventure and you’ve got the rundown. I’ve also got a three book paranormal romance/urban fantasy series in the works at the moment, but you’ll have to check my website, www.kristinmiller.net, to get the details on that at a later date.

LAST VAMP STANDING:

Genre: Paranormal
Length: 384 pages
Publisher: Avon Impulse (September 18, 2012)

Tortured by demonic voices, Dante’s soul is as black as they come. But when he meets Ariana—an innocent vampire fighting demons of her own—he second-guesses everything he’s ever known about sacrifice, passion, and soul-scorching love.

Before Dante wages war against Crimson Bay’s greatest threat, he must make a choice: love Ariana the way she deserves, risking her life in the process—or fight to protect her, unleashing the monster he’s determined to bury.
