Studio Smexy Saturdays: Defiant 2.0

Two weeks ago we featured stills from the DEFIANT shoot that Pamela Clare, Benjamin (Pamela's son) and Jenn LeBlanc collaborated on with the help of the always fabulous Cora Kemp and the super delicious Karl (who we met in person during the pickup shoot in the studio). Today, we are taking you into the wild and behind the scenes one more time.

A note from Jenn: This whole project makes me giddy. I'm not sure what else I can say about it. It was a dream come true, which seems to be happening often these days as crazy as that sounds. I adore Karl, he is an absolute natural and wonderful to work with. I adore Pamela, she is a dear friend and we have had so much fun working together on this little project it's really ridiculous. It should be illegal. As for Benjamin, the director and editor and writer and all around amazing filmmaker, and absolutely believe he is going to go far and I can't WAIT to ride his skirt tails. Er...shirt tails. Coat tails? Maybe he won't read this.

Eh hem. SO here is a second post about the amazingness that was the Defiant trailer shoot. Because it's just too amazing to be contained in one...
Oh Cora
Dragging poor Cora up the hill
And again...

Awesome! That's a wrap :)

Oh, you wanted some of the sexy? How about this?

Or this?
Wentworth never looked so good. Until now.

Ooo...or this:

DEFIANT:
Genre: Historical Romance
Length: 384 pages
Publisher: Berkley (July 3, 2012)

Major Connor MacKinnon despises his commander, Lord William Wentworth, beyond all other men. Ordered to rescue Wentworth's niece after the Shawnee take her captive, he expects Lady Sarah Woodville to be every bit as contemptible as her uncle. Instead, he finds a brave and beautiful lass in desperate peril. But the only way to free Sarah is for Connor to defeat the Shawnee warrior who kidnapped her—and claim her himself.

Torn by tragedy from her sheltered life in London, Lady Sarah is unprepared for the harshness of the frontier-or for the attraction she feels toward Connor. When they reach civilization, however, it is she who must protect him. For if her uncle knew all that Connor had done to save her, he would surely kill him.

But the flames of passion, once kindled, are difficult to deny. As desire transforms into love, Connor will have to defy an empire to keep Sarah at his side.

Before we get to the giveaway...a plea for help!

If you are an author or blogger looking for stock photo, please check out his pictures. All proceeds from Levi's photos will go directly to him and his family. Please help them out.

    1. This is one of the reasons I love her, Mina, the fact that she doesn't have any simple characters, that they're ALL fleshed out and whole. It's an amazing reading experience.

      good luck!

  15. When Pamela had visited Studio Smexy Satrudays at Roamancing Rakes For The Love of Romance I was fascinated by the post so I visited her website and the Book Trailers and Video were fantastic!

I sent her a short email letting her know how much I loved her books and how impressed I was with her website.

She sent me an email back! Now that's one classy lady as well as terrific author!

Remember that there were two books that came before Defiant in The MacKinnon's Rangers Trilogy! If you haven't already read Surrender and Untamed be sure to pick them up now as well as a copy of Defiant because you'r going to want to read all three books in the series!

  22. That poor man! What happened to his shirt. And then he had to run through all those trees and possible scratch up his shirtless chest. I was glad to see that no actors were harmed in the filming of that trialer. I liked it but I couldn't resist commenting on his shirtlessness! jepebATverizonDOTnet
