WELCOME BACK TO THE BLOG KIERAN!!!
Meet Kieran:
Double Rita-finalist and USA Today bestseller Kieran Kramer is the author of the lighthearted Regency historical romance series, The Impossible Bachelors, published by St. Martin's Press. She recently signed a six-book contract with St. Martin's for another Regency series called The House of Brady, premiering in 2012. A former CIA employee, journalist, and English teacher, Kieran's also a game show veteran, karaoke enthusiast, and general adventurer. Without doubt her greatest adventure, which she's taken hand-in-hand with her husband of 23 years, has been mothering their three children.

Colin Egglesfield would play Charlie Thorpe, Viscount Lumley, in If You Give a Girl a Viscount. Colin was the hottie in the movie Something Borrowed (and an almost dead ringer for Tom Cruise).
Adorable Charlie Thorpe is the last of my Impossible Bachelors. He’s the wealthiest of the lot, and he’s become disillusioned with women. They’re all after his money. Not only that, he’s losing confidence in himself—money has gotten him out of every scrape he’s ever been in. He’s almost forgotten how to rely on his own wits.
So on the advice of his three best friends, the other Impossible Bachelors--Harry, Nicholas, and Stephen--he decides to try living without any money for a while. And it’s then that Charlie meets Daisy Montgomery, who at the beginning of the story wants nothing more than…
You guessed it—his money!
Oh, my. Do sparks ever fly, especially when some kisses are exchanged and money becomes the last thing on either of their minds!
Daisy would be played by Amanda Seyfried. She was the actress in Mean Girls, Dear John, and Red Riding Hood. I chose her because she has wide-spaced eyes and an almost ethereal, innocent look. She also happens to be blonde, like my character Daisy, and is a perfect foil for dark-haired Colin, who’d play Charlie.
IF YOU GIVE A GIRL A VISCOUNT:
GENRE: HistoricalWhere To Buy: Amazon | Kindle | B&N/Nook | Book Depository
MASS MARKET PAPERBACK: 383 pages
PUBLISHER: St. Martin's Paperbacks (November 1, 2011)

All the single ladies want him.
If life were a fairy tale, Daisy Montgomery’s stepmother and two stepsisters would surely be cast in the wicked roles. For years, they’ve made life miserable for Daisy. But when she discovers she has a godmother, she’s determined to ask her for help. Little did Daisy expect her godmother to play matchmaker with her very own grandson—who happens to be a viscount!
Is he ready to put a ring on it?
A freewheeling playboy, Charles Thorpe, Viscount Lumley, is bored with his wealth-seeking female admirers. Not only that, he’s been cut off from the family coffers. One day, on a bet, he rids himself of what little money he has left in his pockets and vows to solve problems using his wits alone. But when the Impossible Bachelor is confronted with Daisy’s plan to save her castle, the payoff is more than he could have bargained for. Sometimes, if you give a girl a viscount, you just might find love…. (source)

ReplyDeleteHi Kieran,
ReplyDeleteI love want you choice :)
I like KK's cast choices....blonde and brunette, great H/h combo! I haven't read any of her novels yet, but it's definitely time to start!
ReplyDeleteI like Colin Egglesfield in Rizzoli and Isles and Amanda Seyfried in Veronica Mars. Great choices.
ReplyDeleteI like Amanda for Daisy. I did imagine someone pretty and blond when I was reading the book!
ReplyDeleteKieran!! lol I love your series I can't belive I didn't know that Lumley's book was out!! I did read the first three in the series :) I always wondered what happened to the 'other' women in When Harry Met Molly ;)! SO excited for you about the new series! And if I'm not lucky enough to win If You Give A Girl A Viscount I shall be out buying it next week ;)
ReplyDeleteGreat choices for cast by the way. From reading the other books I think Colin fits Lumley perfectly.
interesting casting choices for the books. Congrats to Kieran on the success of her books as I've heard lots of good things though I haven't a chance to read any of them myself yet (hope to change that before long).
ReplyDeleteohhhhh I like who you picked to play your characters... lovely photos.. and fun story!! I've read others by Kieran and loved them!!
ReplyDeleteI love Kieran! Who would forget the "kissing closet" in When Harry Met Molly. Anyway, I agree with Keiran's choices (specially Colin <3 so yummy!) while Amanda has this way of looking at you differently (maybe because of her eyes. Two thumbs up! :D
ReplyDeleteI can go on and on about how much I love this series :) I'm not familiar with Colin Egglesfield, but 2 thumbs up for sure. And I've always loved Amanda Seyfreid. She has this youthful, innocent look to her.
ReplyDeleteI have If You Give A Girl A Viscount on my Amazon wish list, can't wait to read.

I love Colin Egglesfield but how about Henry Cavill!? He's so handsome ~swoon~ And Amanda looks really good to play Daysi! I love all the book covers! They're so beautiful! Specially the leading ladies, in the expression you can see the amusement in her faces like they're hiding a secret! LOVE THEM! (ileana - Rafflecopter)
ReplyDeleteI had never heard of Colin and he's a great choice for a handsome rake and I love Amanda Seyfried in everything that I've watched so I'll go with your choices.
ReplyDeleteI've only read the first book in this series so I look forward to the rest. Thanks for the giveaway opportunity.
I love Colin Egglesfield! He is so yummy!
ReplyDeleteY'all, all of you so totally ROCK!!!!
ReplyDeleteI'm so sorry I'm not writing individual replies today. I read ALL of them, believe me, and they have so lifted my spirits!!! This morning, my oldest child showed symptoms of appendicitis!! He's at college, which is half an hour away, so when I got the call, I picked him up from the student health services and whisked him to the emergency room at the local hospital, where they checked him out, gave him a bag of IV fluids, and some morphine to take away the pain for a few hours. They think he's okay--but they said to take him home and watch him for the next twelve hours. If the pain persists, he has to go back in for a CT scan. So...I'm kind of distracted, LOL!!!!
But I'm so thankful for all of my wonderful reader friends. How I love you!!!! And I can't wait to hear from some brand new readers, too. Please check with me on Facebook and let me know if you like my stories. And to my sweet, loyal readers who've been with me since the beginning...I'm especially wondering what you'll think of the first book in my new series, LOVING LADY MARCIA!!! It comes out Aug. 28th. I hope you'll enjoy it.
I can't wait to see some of you in California, at the annual RWA conference. I had a blast at RT in Chicago!!!!
Thanks again for being so patient with me. I'm really glad you liked my casting of VISCOUNT. I also sent in one for CLOUDY, but maybe it's only one book at a time!!!! That's okay. I can look at Colin Egglesfield all day, LOL!!!!!!!
Love to you all~
Kieran :>D
Personally I am not a fan of Amanda Seyfried, but I guess she could work based on the description you gave and for the model on the cover. Colin Egglesfield is a totally different story. Wow I would definitely want him as my hero - good choice!
ReplyDeletethanks for the great post and giveaway! I love the casting. As I haven't read t his book, I leave it to your expertise ;)
ReplyDeletePerfect casting. I loved her in Letters to Juliet. He is such a hunk. Perfect casting.
ReplyDeleteI think those two make a perfect couple...way too good looking both of them.

Kieran did the perfect job on picking out just the right actor and actress to play the part of Charles and Daisy! I'm not surprised since Kieran is a Southern Belle! Believe me they do have terrific taste! How do I know? Because one of them picked my son as a husband and believe me he closely resembled Charles in being an Impossible Bachelor!
ReplyDeleteHe as well as the rest of the bunch of Impossible Bachelors (I think that's probably most of the single male population) just need to find someone like Daisy to show them the correct path to take - up the wedding aisle!
I haven't read any of these books yet but Colin is super yummy!
ReplyDeleteHi Kieran!
ReplyDeleteGood cast picks especially Colin Egglesfield.
ReplyDeletepurpleunicorn19 at yahoo dot com
They would make a hot couple! And I really like her in Mean Girls!
ReplyDeleteThanks a lot for the giveaway!
I am a huge fan of Amanda Seyfried, so I think she would be a great choice and Colin Egglesfield is so hot!
ReplyDeleteI like your choice, sounds great...they would make a great couple! Thanks for the giveaway
ReplyDeleteSounds like a cute story line. And I wonder how he enjoyes living with out oodles of money, though maybe he was too distracted by a beautiful woman to notice.
ReplyDeleteAmanda sounds like a great choice.
This casting choice is fantastic! They would make a great looking couple due to their contrasts. I am more familiar with Amanda's work and have found her to be quite a good actress.
