Since summer is right upon us, let's talk about beach reads. When I go to the beach, I slather on the SPF 30, stuff a towel in my PINK beach tote, pop on my super reflective sunglasses(think Top Gun style) and throw in a good book to read (when not people watching). So I give you 10 of my favorite summer reads.

Monthly Mailbox- May Edition
I've decided to start sharing what I receive in my mailbox on a monthly basis. Sure, there's a weekly meme to do it but what if you don't get anything in the mail that week? I guess you'd have to post on the weeks that you got stuff. So then the whole weekly meme point would be moot.
Anyway, at the end of each month, I'll share with you my book/goodies loot. Complete with pictures.
Now you're probably wondering why there's a picture of a mailbox decked out in holiday decoration. Well, I feel that it's like Christmas every time I open my box and see a lovely package full of books. Who doesn't love getting packages in the mail?
So without further ado, I give you this months haul.

Man Candy Monday
Good Monday morning Blogosphere. It's that time of the week again, Man Candy Monday. Sorry for the late post. Join us this evening at 8PM CDT (6, 7 and 9 PM for all you others-including me) on Twitter. Share photos, video clips, and stories on Twitter. Be sure to use the hashtag #ManCandyMondays.
So in the spirit of MCM, I give you:
Guest Post and Giveaway! Welcome Jenn LeBlanc
1. If you could live forever, what age would you pick to look like forever? 28 which is great because I just asked Mr. LeBlanc and he said he would be 32 so that's perfect because he would be older than me finally! WOOT!
2. If you were stranded on a deserted island, what 5 things would you have with you? (and raft building material is not an option) My camera, my muse, my computer...mmm and a knife and sunscreen (necessities you know)
3. How many licks does it take to get to the center of a Tootsie Pop? Lordy I'm like the owl, I don't get past three before I start chewing.
4. If you had a stalker who was a celebrity, who would it be and why? Gerard Butler because I left all of his kilty goodness off of my list up there.
5. If your life was made into a movie, who would play you? Would DH play himself? (erm, that sounded a bit naughty) I want Drew Barrymore to play me. Because she is cute and the only famous person I've been compared too, even though I don't really see it. And yes, DH would play himself ;) He is fully capable of that.
Some of them are in the ebook, some aren’t.
"His Grace Gideon Alrick Trumbull, the 10th Duke of Roxleigh, held a countenance both foreboding and powerful. His ability to terrify people with his demeanor only helped his business dealings, creating a sense of either security or terror —depending on which side of the table you were seated— and tonight he seated himself clearly on the wrong side of his own table. He had nearly killed a girl.”
“Samson’s grace and surefootedness at breakneck paces was the closest Roxleigh had ever come to some semblance of peace in his life. His head was never clearer, his nerves were never calmer, and his mind was never more unbound than when he rode Samson. He listened to the horse’s steady breathing, the exertion of his exhalations, and the steady beat of his hooves, punctuated by the swift silence of the jumps and the exclamation of the landing, like a staccato symphony. His mind unfurled its stressed tethers with the smooth action of Samson at full speed.” “I have been looking for you,” he replied.
“Don’t,” he cautioned as he held her hips firmly, trying to stop her wiggling. “Stop moving, or neither of us will make it out of this maze anytime soon,” he said gruffly. Her skin flushed, a heated blush rolling from her toes to the top of her head. The warmth raced to her core and he couldn’t bring himself to release her as the heat soaked into his hands. “Just a moment, I—” he broke off, gasping for air. He looked into her eyes and watched the fever of her blush blossoming over her face, forcing another rush of blood...Thank you so much for stopping by Jenn! I am happy to say that I get to meet the fabulous Jenn LeBlanc and her Muse (isn't Derek hot!) at RomCon this year!
Don't forget to comment to enter to win The Rake and The Recluse and some swag. And if you follow For the Love of Romance let me know and I'll throw in an extra entry for you. Giveaway is open until June 6! Good Luck!

Jenn's book (here I go again...) arrived in the mail. Which I am hoping to get signed by Jenn, DH & Cora aka Lady Francine. Boo on the fact that Ross aka Perry is all the way in Korea being a do-gooder and teaching English. Such a humanitarian. Got some awesome tea straight from Hawaii courtesy of SOS Aloha. So enough fluff, more nitty gritty.

Top Ten Books I Lied About
Top Ten Tuesday is an original feature/weekly meme created at The Broke and the Bookish.
Everyone's got that book they they love, love, love or a book that's been sitting on the shelf just gathering dust. You keep telling yourself that after you're done reading [insert book title here] you'll get to that book. Or perhaps you faked reading a book for school or even for book club. I know I have done all of those things So here are my book confessions:

Historical Review: The Rake and the Recluse by Jenn LeBlanc
Format: ePUB
Print Length: 378 pages
Publisher: Iris Photo Agency, LLC (April 20, 2011)
Francine Larrabee woke up on the wrong side of the century. She was fairly certain she went to sleep in her own comfy bed, but she doesn’t quite seem to be there now. Only adding to her problems is that she has no voice, is constantly being glowered at by a large, stunning man who is obsessed with propriety, and she is apparently betrothed to another horrid little man, determined to ruin her, and any other girls that get in his way.

Friday eSteals (3)
It's Friday, Friday, what are you gonna read for the weekend, weekend? I blame Glee for doing this to me. It's been a while since I've heard the Rebecca Black song until I decided to watch the DVR'd episode of Glee from last week. Oy! Anyway, there's quite a few books out this week that I'd love to point out to you. The following are FREE BOOKS FOR KINDLE. Some have been free for a looong time, others only for a short time. Be sure to get them while they're free. If you are looking for books under $5, book bundles for $9.99 or less or even books for pre-order, check out the Book Carousel.

Something super exciting has happened this past week. We So Excited! So you may be hearing about it a lot within the next few months. Or something related to it. It's been slow going this week. Again. I spent a week on ONE BOOK, which will forever be known as THE BOOK. This is a first for me. I normally read 2-3 or more books a week. But enough fluff. Time to get down to the nitty gritty.
So here is what I'm loving this week:

A little bit of this and that

That man can scowl at me all he wants! If you haven't seen I suggest you do. Mr Thornton is totally swoon worthy!
Also, there was some big news announced yesterday. I am a HUGE fan of JR Ward's and her Black Dagger Brotherhood series. I've been hooked since Book 1, Dark Lover and cried like a baby in Book 3, Lover Awakened. Now, after 9 books, my man Tohr is next! JR Ward announced Tohr was next at her book signing in April and yesterday she gave us his title: Lover Reborn. I'm not going to give away any spoilers (cause I hate that) but I am SOOO excited and if you're a fan of the series you know what the title means. All I'm saying is that Ward better give Tohr one hell of an HEA! So, I will now be freaking out for the next year waiting for Lover Reborn since it won't be released until late April or early May.

RomCon11 or Bust!
I will finally get to meet Jamie from For the Love of Romance and Rita from Not Another Romance Blog (ok, she's not official yet) IN PERSON! And also, Naughty Authors 1&2: Ashley March and Jenn LeBlanc.
I've registered for RomCon (hello, Chocolate Mangasm™), Jamie has booked our room, this week I'll book my flight and now, it's time get off my ass and run. Run like a bat out of hell (I can't fly), run like a horse hell bent for leather. This girl has got to look good. First impressions and all.
Greatest Weekend Ever... I think so!
First, I went down to Maryland to babysit a 1 year old. Now, I love Christen to death but when she told me that Andrew's new favorite thing is to bite and pull hair I was worried. But, he was a perfect angel and so lovey! I kept getting hugs and really, what's better then baby hugs? Nothing!
Last night I saw Bridesmaids and I laughed so hard it's not even funny! I was on the fence about seeing it but after everyone told me it was amazing I went and I was sooo not disappointed. Go see it!
And perhaps the best thing this weekend was that I booked my ticket for RomCon!! And what's even better... Kati from Romancing Rakes is going to be my roomie!! And you know what else... Rita from Not Another Romance Blog is coming too! (Ok, so she's not official yet but she's coming if I have to stuff her in my suitcase!) So yes, The Pervy Trinity will be taking RomCon by storm so watch out Denver!
I am sooo excited for RomCon because not only do I get to meet Kati and Rita but I also get to meet some of my favorite Naughty Authors: Jenn LeBlanc and Ashley March! And Jenn is bringing her Muse DH to RomCon! And I hear Ashley is bring us some Blue Bell ice cream! So I am really, really excited for RomCon! Now I wish it was August!

Kindle Love
I love the instant gratification of being able to download the book right then and there. There is no need to go and get dressed and drive to the book store. I can sit right in my living room in my pajamas and buy a book.
The sample button is my friend! Every time I see a book that sounds interesting but I've never read the author I can just have a sample sent. It's like author speed dating. I get a couple chapters to see if I like the author's tone and if I don't then I haven't wasted my money because its FREE!
I tend to travel a lot. and I must always have something to read cause I've been known to get stuck in airports (like the time I was stuck in Syracuse for 8 hours) and books can get heavy. But my Richard Henry is very light and carries hundreds of books so I always have something to read. And if I don't like what I'm reading I can always find something else thanks to the Kindle Store!
Another great thing, the pricing. A lot of the E-books are priced lower then the paperback version and sometimes are on sale for really cheap or FREE! This is another way to try out a new to you author and I have found some gems thanks to this!
I have the Kindle app on my iPhone which is amazing! When I'm out running errands I usually don't have Richard Henry on me but I always have my phone which means I can read anywhere. It makes things interesting when I'm at a family function and I'm reading a sexy book while trying not to blush.
Don't get me wrong, I love paperbacks and I will always buy them especially for certain authors. But, Richard Henry has definitely made my life a bit easier. Do any of you have a Kindle or and E-book reader? Do you love it or is just OK?
Now, next week I'm working on a post about those free E-books I mentioned. So tell me, if it's free do you download it? Do you start reading them knowing that they are maybe not up to par with other E-books?

Caption This Photo
Yes, this is a wax figure of Tiger Woods but that little girl is real.
So give me your best or silliest photo caption.
Did you hear?

Now see that gorgeous man on the cover? That would be our newest obsession, Derek, or DH. So a few nights ago we were twittering about how much we are in lust with that sexy man (seriously get the e-book because the pictures are smokin!) that Ms. LeBlanc offered to do Kati's first author interview. How sweet is that? And what's even sweeter... She's giving away two copies of the e-book and some other fun stuff!
Kati and I tagged team Ms. LeBlanc with some questions. I really just wanted to know where I could find DH and keep him for myself. What? A girl can try. Anyway, make sure you ALL head over to Romancing Rakes because there are pictures too!
So I happen to have an ePub copy of The Rake and The Recluse that I just downloaded the other day. I will also admit that I scrolled through the book to look at the pictures first. I just think the idea of an illustrated novel is so cool. You should also head to Jenn's Leblanc's website The Illustrated Romance and take a look at what she does!
Now make sure you comment over at Romancing Rakes. Kati's got the goods, I'm just pimping!
The giveaway will end 5/18 and trust me, you'll want to win! I hear Ms LeBlanc is sending some pictures of DH *sigh*
Oh, Monday
Don't forget today, like all Monday's, is Man Candy Monday. Our topic this week is Professor Man Candy. or, how I like to think of it: Hot Guys in Glasses. Example: Matt Bomer

The fabulous Ana Farish will be blogging at the Man Candy Monday blog about those sexy intellecual types. Now, unfortunately, none of my professors at school were anything special but maybe that's a good thing cause I'm sure I wouldn't get any work done if I was staring at them. There is something sexy about a smart man because let's be honest, you can be hot as can be with a 6pack of abs, chiseled cheeks and baby blue eyes but if you can put a sentence together then I'm so not interested. (I'll still look though lol)
Now, I also suggest you head over and visit Kati at Romancing Rakes because she has some super sexy guys in glasses. And she is also pimping a new obessions of ours: DH you may have seen him on the cover of Jenn LeBlanc's The Rake and the Recluse. PS... It's an Illustrated Novel! That means there are pictures inside the book! How awesome is that?!? Oh, and the pictures... HAWT!
You know the drill, come hang with us on Twitter 9PM EST/6PM PST and all those times in between. Feel free to bring pictures of hot guys and share, just don't forget to use the hashtag #ManCandyMonday
Now, I'm going to be a good girl and listen to Professor Cavill.

While I'm gone... Did you have any hot professors in school? Any scandalous stories about you and the TA?
Man Candy Monday
Good Monday morning to you! It's that time of the week again, Man Candy Monday. Join us this evening at 8PM CDT (6 , 7 and 9 PM for all you others-including me) on Twitter. Share photos, video clips, and stories on Twitter. Be sure to use the hashtag #ManCandyMonday.

It's Monday! What Are You Reading? is a weekly meme by Sheila at Book Journey. It's where you share what you've read the past week, what you plan on reading next and everything else in between.
This is my first time participating so hope I get this right.

Thor
Mr. Kati took me to see THOR this afternoon and can I just say that it was fabulous! There was a half naked man, ginormous explosions, Natalie Portman, Anthony Hopkins with a gold eye patch looking thing, blue monsters who live on a frozen planet and a rainbow bridge. Phew! It was heavy on the action, light on the laughs and a non-existant love story. Apparently Thor will be back in THE AVENGERS (yes, that movie directed by Joss Whedon of Buffy/Angel/Firefly fame. Yes, THAT movie which will have the trifecta of perfectness: Hemsworth, Evans and RDJ.)
For those of you who haven't seen it yet and are planning on going, stay until the very end. Yes, wayyy after the credits. I hear you grumbling. It'll be worth it. Also, for the ladies, go see it in 3D or IMAX 3D if possible. Trust me, Chris Hemsworth in 3D is fantastic!
Are YOU going to see it? What movies are you looking forward to seeing? Will you go see all the superhero movies coming out this year?
